Whether it is a wedding photographer to keep that day a still life memory, a live gig with your band, some freelance modelling photographs for your portfolio, or a photo of the children playing in the park we can make it happen.
Our images very often combine multiple, complimentary techniques to emphasize their subject. We always try to show how people feel, not just how they look and we capture your story unobtrusively as it unfolds: From preparation to the celebration, mixing an artistic photojournalistic style with classic portraiture photography.
Our work doesn’t stop there... After your special day we edit and enhance the photographs creating artistic prints or a memorable album, most importantly is that it's entirely up to you how it looks. Photo shoot in your garden or in the heart of the Peak District, Full marriage ceremony or only exchange of wedding rings, every assignment is unique, as are the people involved.

On Location
At SJS Photography we have the facilties to come to you. This can be for any event ranging from a wedding , a live band photo shoot before and after a gig or just some new and upto date portfolio shots for your album.
We are located in Nottingham but have the ability to travel in and around the area so please dont hesitate to contact us if you require us to come to you.
We pride ourselves again on price and for our on location shoots we charge by the hour, for our basic package we can come to anywhere within 20 miles of NG1 Nottingham, for a 1 hour shoot for £65 - this will include a 6x9 print.
If you require a booking, ie a party or gig/portfolio shoot please ensure you give us the time, 2 hours should be suitable, this will again include a 6x9 print and will be all inclusive for £90

Studio
We now have 2 studios in Nottingham which will allow us to produce some amazing images for our customers. The first space has been converted from a double garage and as we are not franchised but are a small business, we do not have the overheads which allows us to keep costs down. This studio will allow us to give you the flexibility to bring in your whole family, band, you as a model and even some props.
The second is a converted 2nd floor 1200ft warehouse containing office / bedroom / wetroom and a variety of plain backdrops and modern wallpapered areas giving unique images.
Both studios are fully equipped with Bowens lighting and have changing rooms where you can get comfortable and even change clothes for multiple styles within your shoot.

I'm Scott, I'm 27 Years old and based in Nottingham. I’ve been doing photography for around 3 years now and have been more into the computer side of photography for around 5 years. In this time I have had exposure to Photoshop and Fireworks to include gallery effects, wedding photography and modern pieces (similar to the works from Venture and Olan Mills)
I feel I have a unique style which is Modern yet contemporary and I use unusual angles to produce original, creative and unique stills. Check out my shots in the portfolio galley........
The names Josh Hollands, I’ve been a photographer for 4 years and I’ve worked in live gig photography for bands for the first 2 years of my career. I have attended Weddings to capture those memories that everyone wants to keep. I’ve also worked with models to build portfolios and to get the best images that are possible.
I am based in the Nottingham, with Scott, and we can travel to further afield to take photos for your band, weddings or even your portfolio.

This day is a prime opportunity to use the studio and a photographer to build up some really professional and high quality porftolio shots. Wether you are a model already or looking to get into the industry there is no need to spend the earth building up you portfolio. Now dependant on the style of your shoot we have two studio options available for you:
Studio 1:
White and Black backdrops for those truly stunning detailed shots of you with no interference. Kitted with full rigging and softboxes. This is the main studio we use for all of our shoots in the image gallery
